Points to consider while purchasing Battery
When buying a car battery, ensure it fits your vehicle's size and compatibility requirements and offers sufficient Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) for reliable starting, especially in colder climates. Look for a high Reserve Capacity (RC) for backup power and consider the battery type—AGM batteries are ideal for high-demand vehicles, while lithium options last longer but are pricier. Opt for a battery with a good lifespan and warranty, and choose a trusted brand for quality. Consider your climate and driving habits, as extreme conditions can affect battery life, and decide whether you prefer maintenance-free convenience. Though cost is a factor, investing in a quality battery often pays off in reliability and durability.

Why is the battery check so important?
Have you checked the state of your battery recently? Many drivers don't think about it until a breakdown happens or the car won't start. A smarter approach is to schedule regular battery checks at the Rapid Performance workshop. Spending a few minutes on preventative maintenance can save you from hours of waiting for roadside assistance later.

Jump-Start
Using car battery repair services can revive a weak battery, but when jump-starting, a few precautions are essential. Ensure both batteries have the same rated voltage (e.g., 12V), and avoid any contact between the vehicles’ bodywork. With all electrical systems turned off, connect the red cable to the positive terminal of the flat battery, then to the positive terminal of the charged battery. Next, attach the black cable to the negative post of the charged battery and connect the other end to a metal surface in the engine compartment of the vehicle with the flat battery—never to its negative post, as this could trigger an explosion. Once secured, you can proceed to start the vehicle.
